Sophie Auger, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
Sophie Auger (BA, McGill University, 1999) joined Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in 1999. In Canada, she worked as a Manager at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa and as Director of Operations for IRCC’s Centralized and National Networks. As a foreign service agent, she completed assignments in Moscow, Bucharest, Belgrade, New Delhi, and Kyiv. She has also worked with the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Sophie is now an Advisor and Manager of the migration program in Paris, where IRCC’s centre of expertise promoting Francophone migration to Canada outside Quebec is located. Sophie is a recipient of the IRCC Professional Foreign Service Officers Award and Deputy Minister Honorary Award.
