A must-attend event on Francophone immigration

 

Formerly known as the Journée de réflexion sur l’immigration francophone, the annual Symposium on Francophone immigration brings together the academic community, community experts and government representatives every year.

The Symposium is coordinated by the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadienne du Canada (FCFA) and is made possible thanks to the financial support of the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

 

An extensive reflection:

Presentations and discussions will allow to further identify research priorities, examine various public policy approaches and integrate all the reflections, the expertise and roles of Francophone and Acadian communities with regards to immigration.

The main objectives:

  • Review the issues and opportunities related to Francophone immigration.
  • Promote continued exchange between communities, researchers and governments.
  • Increase the creation, sharing and circulation of the knowledge needed to fuel Francophone immigration actions and strategies.
