Janick Arcand, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)

Janick Arcand is Interim Assistant Director for the Resettlement Operations Division of the Settlement Network working on the Resettlement Assistance Program.

Prior to this position, she worked as a migration officer at the Embassy of Canada in Ankara, Turkey, processing temporary residence and refugee applications, including those from Afghan refugees. In addition to her two-year assignment abroad, Janick has also held temporary assignments in Ankara, Amman and New Delhi, in addition to having several years of experience in the management of contribution agreements within the Settlement Program.

Bilingual, dynamic and passionate about issues affecting the movement of populations, Janick began her career by joining the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada in 2013. Since then, her outstanding work has been highlighted with a certificate of recognition from the Assistant Deputy Minister, a certificate from the Director General, as well as a certificate from the Director.

Janick holds a master’s degree in international studies from the Université de Montréal and a bachelor’s degree in international development and globalization from the University of Ottawa.
