Originally from Sudbury, Alain Dupuis has been at the helm of the Fédération des communautés francophones et acadienne (FCFA) du Canada since May 2017. His priorities include strengthening the ties between organizations in the Canadian Francophonie, boosting Francophone immigration, and increasing youth participation and diversity within Francophone and Acadian communities. Alain previously served as Executive Director of the Regroupement étudiant franco-ontarien (RÉFO), where he played a leading role in the creation of a Franco-Ontarian university. He has also been Vice-President of the Association des communautés francophones d’Ottawa (ACFO) and a member of the coordination group for the Bilingual Ottawa initiative. Alain holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Ottawa and a MA in Public and International Affairs from the Université de Montréal.
