Leyla Sall is Associate Professor of Sociology at the Université de Moncton. His research focuses on migration dynamics in the Acadian Maritimes and on the issue of racism and racial discrimination. Leyla has published more than 15 articles, book chapters and research reports on immigrant entrepreneurs, on temporary foreign workers in the seafood processing industry and on social cohesion in minority Francophone communities in Canada that have welcomed immigrants. He recently published two articles on immigration-related issues in Acadian New Brunswick, one on the inclusion of international students (Minorités linguistiques et société) and another on Francophone immigration policy (Lien social et politiques). Leyla’s forthcoming book, to be published by the Presses de l’Université Laval in March 2021, is titled L’Acadie du Nouveau-Brunswick et « ces » immigrants francophones : entre incomplétude institutionnelle et accueil symbolique.
