A New Canadian, a Manitoba Francophone and the proud mother of two boys, Salwa Meddri grew up in Morocco, where she studied marketing and communications. In 2008, she made the decision to settle in Manitoba with her family. For seven years, Salwa provided direct services at Acceuil francophone, taking the time to engage with the Francophone community. As a result, she has been able to help establish several community programs. Since 2015, Salwa has worked as Manager of the Réseau en immigration francophone (RIF) du Manitoba. Strongly committed to the Francophone community, she serves on various committees and boards of directors.
