Raised in Ottawa, Rose-Ingrid Benjamin (she/they) is part of the Haitian diaspora residing in the country commonly known as Canada. She is known as a singer, actor, poet, producer, and activist, having had the opportunity to share their art and experiences in Canada and the United States. Credits include Hart House Theatre, The Extreme Tour, Creative Mornings Ottawa, Theatre Passe Muraille, and Orlando Fringe. Rose-Ingrid recently completed their studies in production and scriptwriting at Concordia University. They desire to expand their reach into filmmaking combining their passion for racial justice, equity and LGBTQ+ inclusion to create and support diverse storytelling through filmmaking.
